Proyecto: Zabeel Park, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Jurado: “Unlike many projects that may tackle these problems through a more pragmatic or engineered approach, this daring proposal calls for radical solution to the relevant issue of the reclamation of one of our most vital natural resources. This project engages this problem in an innovative way allowing for the expression of the process and its resultant interesting range of architectural effects.”

Proyecto: Plan de desarrollo orientado al transporte colectivo – San Juan – Guaynabo – Bayamón, Puerto Rico
Jurado: “The project perfomed beautifully at a variety of levels: its careful analysis of multiple urban factors, its specificity of relevant analysis, its strong argument for multiple uses, density and pedestrian oriented streescape. We look forward the further definition of its mixed use zoning strategy”

Jurado: “It is exciting to see the great implementation of a park master plan that integrates disperse areas and programs into an articulate urban work of surfaces, spaces, and structures. It is rare to see a case where the architectural manifestation of the master plan matches the quality and standards”

Jurado: “A great use of a simple vernacular profile provides consistancy throgh a fragmented plan while still allowing for the autonomy of various programs. The introduction of different fenestrations and skin treatments within the vernacular allows for specifity within the volumes. we look forward to the sitting reiteration through its proven rigor and development of the various wet infrastructural systems is commendable.”
